Went to visit a friend at Acre SF a couple weeks back and fell in love with some Karen Walker sunglasses. With the holidays (that took up most of my paychecks) over, I knew I had to think moreso about recovery and saving money so I let that love go… But because fashion is my first love and always at the forefront of my mind, I decided to oogle at her the rest of her sunglasses online today.
I wish I had discovered this genius of a woman when she first came out with her eyewear line a few years back because I most definitely would’ve procured a piece or two from each collection! Karen Walker provides for the effortlessly, fashion-forward and I love that I can identify with her aesthetic. There are a lot of talented eyewear designers out there (helloo, Tom Ford), but she has re-invigorated my obsession with sunglasses. The ones I featured here are my favorites from the 2008 Masters of Disguise. The next post will feature my favorites from her current collection and which just so happen to sit at the top of my wishlist.

I’ve been on the lookout for a slimming, mid-calf length skirt for a while now… This one by Otis & Maclain is at the top of the list AND it’s supposedly at my favorite store, Industrie Denim (which I visited the other day and purchased another pair of Thvm denim… oops). Hopefully I can find one or something similar in navy!
This tattoo is the epitome of my day today… and my life in general. I’d like to get a permanent reminder like this but since I probably never will, I’m happy just seeing this (one in) person every day.

Goyard trunks
The boy and I recently put together my-steal-of-a-bed, and now the obsession of organizing & decorating my room is in full swing! I’m currently going through my clothes and trying to do the whole “keep, give, throw” process and it’s going terribly… I’m the worst when it comes to letting go of things.
However, I am fully determined to get through this and live like a San Franciscan urbanite wherein the mentality stands that less is more. I’ve already come to terms with the fact that I won’t be able to turn complete minimalist just yet, but if I am to at least start somewhere that start should be with my clothes. Although clothing is a big part of my life, I certainly don’t have room in my actual living space to house it all. I’ll be giving away a lot but for the things I do keep (haha) I would like a stylish and durable under-the-bed piece of storage.
The Goyard trunks I pass every day are exactly what I’m looking for, but I can’t invest in them just yet. Hence I’ve found similar solutions at Container Store, and I know that Ikea, Target, and TJ Maxx are always good for anything storage related. I think I’ll also stop by some design stores and hopefully stumble upon some great treasure (chest) for a good deal!
I’m so excited that my room is finally coming together. My mind is feeling more settled for every area of the room that I finish.
top five favorite posts, ever.
This is the EXACT depiction of how I felt when I studied/traveled in Europe last year and now I look at life through this sort of lens. Not only are we living in history, we are history in the making.
